Support Ivan in overcoming Leukemia

Please support Ivan’s mommy and daddy in their journey to overcome this challenge. Sweet Ivan has been through a lot in his short time here (born premature at 26 weeks and spent his first 3 months in NICU) and his parents are incredible, positive and strong people who could use some help. We’re raising funds to help with costs outside of what insurance covers, including medical expenses, food delivery services, support with household duties and other things that can hopefully help lighten their load.

From Caitlin (Ivan’s mommy):

Our sweet little Ivan was diagnosed with Leukemia this week. After a couple weeks of intermittent night time fevers we had his blood work done and it came back abnormal. They had us take him ASAP to the emergency room at Primary Children’s hospital where they did further testing and detected the leukemia. He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and has started his cancer treatments.

His healing process will be more like a marathon instead of a sprint. His current treatment plan is estimated to be 2.5 years. It is weird to think by the time he is 5 that he will have lived half his life fighting cancer and the first 3 months of his being in the NICU. We were joking that he must have selected hard mode on life before coming to earth.

We could use lots of prayers and happy vibes our way. All things considered we are feeling a lot of peace and comfort through these last couple days.
