Support Illiana's Theater Education Abroad

Hello,

I am Illiana Perez, a college student at Texas State University, studying for my BFA in acting. I am an artist and actor looking to enhance my education and experience. I have the opportunity to do so in the summer of 2025. I want to attend the study abroad program offered in Stratford England, and London. There, I will be able to take theater courses and indulge in a new culture of theater.

I currently need your help getting there. I am a full-time student and part-time leasing agent, with barely enough funds to make it through the school year. Your donation will help me achieve a better education and my goal to travel outside of the United States, having never done so.

Why This Program Is Important to Me:

This program will take me to two of the most prestigious institutions in the world for Shakespearean performance. These institutions are:

The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) in Stratford-upon-Avon: Known globally for its modern and innovative takes on Shakespeare’s works, the RSC is a leader in theatrical excellence.

The Globe Theatre in London: This remarkable reconstruction of Shakespeare’s original playhouse allows me to experience performances staged using Elizabethan practices.

What I’ll Experience:

Stratford-upon-Avon: I’ll have the chance to visit the birthplace of William Shakespeare and learn the history and literature behind his works. My time there will include classes and performances at the RSC.

London: I’ll dive into one of the world’s most exciting cultural cities. I’ll attend productions at Shakespeare’s Globe and other renowned theaters, such as the Old Vic and the National Theatre. I’ll also visit iconic cultural landmarks, including the British Library, the Tate Modern, and the National Gallery.

With all of these amazing opportunities on this trip and the lasting impact it would leave on me as a growing human and actor, I would really appreciate your support and help on my journey to Europe!!
