Support Illiad Jason Gesler's Battle Against Bone Cancer

On May 15th, my twin brother, Illiad Jason Gesler, was diagnosed with bone cancer and is scheduled for a total knee, femur, and hip replacement on June 6th at UW. This all happened very fast after some leg pain in recent months was believed to be a hamstring pull, and an MRI in April revealed something happening much worse. His diagnosis is less than 1% of all cancers, but the doctors at Fred Hutch are taking great care of him. Illiad’s road to recovery will not be easy, but it is hopeful.

We ask that you keep Illiad and his wonderful wife, Roxy, in your warm hearts and prayers. We know all of your good and positive thoughts will lift Illiad and Roxy up. Illiad is a proud, hardworking commercial Union Glazier of over 27 years and most scary to him is that his doctors at Fred Hutch have said he will not being able to go back to his profession. They will have to take some of Illiad’s hamstring and quadricep as part of the surgery and he will physically not be able to go back to being a proud Glazier. A GoFundMe is a humbling ask, but Illiad is facing the reality of large medical bills for this major surgery, not having any income for the foreseeable future, and his union health insurance benefits ending very soon.
