Support Greyson's Road to Recovery - Overcome Spleen Injury
Spende geschützt
Hello, my name is Debora Truhan-Cole, and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my nephew's story.
I am reaching out with a heavy heart to share the devastating news about my 12 year old nephew, Greyson. On April 28, 2024, he was involved in a tragic electric scooter accident . He had to be life-flighted to Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital in Allentown, PA. We soon found out he had a lacerated spleen as well as several other internal issues. The doctors have been hoping his spleen would heal on its own, but he has had many complications and they are now discussing removing it completely. The spleen plays a crucial role in our immune system by filtering the blood and fighting infections.
Greyson is a resilient young boy who has always brought joy to everyone around him. His adorable smile, positive attitude, infectious laugh and the ability to find joy in the little things, have always melted my heart. Unfortunately, the accident has left him with severe injuries that will require extensive medical expenses, and possibly ongoing care. The road to recovery for Greyson will be long and challenging, but with your support, we are praying that he can overcome this obstacle.
As you can imagine, the financial burden of Greyson’s medical expenses is overwhelming for his parents, who have not left his side since he was admitted. They are doing everything they can to support him during this difficult time, but they cannot do it alone. That’s why I am reaching out to my friends, family and community for help.
It is going to be an extremely challenging time ahead for Greyson and his family. We are hoping to raise money to help alleviate the financial burden for the out of pocket medical expenses. Any donation would be greatly appreciated, and all funds raised will go directly to Greyson’s medical costs, lost wages for the parents and travel related expenses for his immediate family.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, generosity and support. On behalf of Greyson, his parents, Stephanie and Chris Abalo and his family, I so appreciate the outpouring of love, prayers and support shown over the past few weeks and undoubtedly, in the months to come. We are forever grateful.
Please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family and networks. Together, we can rally around Greyson and his family and provide him with the support and resources he needs to heal and rebuild his young life.
With sincere gratitude,
