Our beloved friend Giselle Cruz received the worst call that no one should ever receive.

Her father, Fernando Cruz, 81 years old, suffered a terrible fall to the head that had put him in critical condition after an emergency brain surgery to stop the bleeding. Fernando is an amazing father and grandfather. A loving, strong, and honest human being. A great friend to all who knew him. Always helpful, caring, respectful, and charismatic.

Despite all the efforts made by the doctors, his health continued to worsen, and four days later, we received the terrible news of his death. Giselle and her family are tremendously saddened, especially his granddaughters, who longed to see him soon. Nothing prepares us for an event like this; there are no words to comfort us at a time like this. However, there are ways to help ease, at least a little, the great sorrow of the death of such a loved one. For this reason, we wanted to organize this space to unite all of us who care about this beloved family and help alleviate the costs this entire situation entails.
