Support Gaby and baby Victoria's Journey Back to Costa Rica

Hi, my name is Andrea, and I am fundraising for my cousin Gaby and her newborn daughter, Anya Victoria.

Three months ago, Gaby came to visit us in Australia. It was her first time traveling abroad, and she was so happy and excited. She was planning to return home on September 17, ready to resume her life in Costa Rica. However, life took an unexpected turn. On the night of September 13, Gaby went into labor, completely unaware that she was pregnant. The circumstances surrounding her pregnancy are, tragically, a story shared by many women around the world.

Nine months ago, Gaby was invited out for drinks with friends, expecting a fun, carefree evening. Hours later, she awoke with no memory of the night, only to discover that she had been drugged and assaulted. This traumatic event left her with emotional and physical scars. In the months that followed, she tried to piece her life back together, unaware that the assault had resulted in a pregnancy.

Now, Gaby faces the overwhelming reality of being a new mother under extremely difficult circumstances. She desperately needs to return to Costa Rica, where her family can provide her and baby Ania Victoria with the support, love, and stability they need to heal and move forward. However, Gaby is unable to afford the unexpected expenses of caring for a newborn, travel costs, and other essentials.

I am raising these funds on Gaby’s behalf. The donations will be used for travel expenses, baby essentials, and support services for Gaby and Ania Victoria while they wait for baby Ania’s documents to be finalized. Once everything is in place, Gaby’s mother will also be coming to Australia to assist with the journey back home. The funds will be transferred directly to Gaby to ensure she receives the support she needs.
