Some of you have heard that my son was diagnosed with cancer. 
For about 3 months, Weston was experiencing constipation. After trying some things on our own and visiting the family doctor we were referred to a specialist. The specialist tried some things of his own which weren't helping and ending up sending us to Hershey for a barium enema test. The test came back showing a 5 cm narrowing of his colon. We later met with a physician who wanted to do a biopsy and a scope of the colon. We went in for this procedure the day before Thanksgiving. The doctor first did a rectal examine and realized it wasn't what he thought. The biopsy and scope weren't needed as he found a tumor.

On Black Friday we went to Hershey for a MRI. On Monday Weston was in such extreme pain that we ended up in the Hershey ER. We were admitted into the Children's Hospital early Tuesday morning. We have had test after test done this week. We are still awaiting his biopsy results as to determine the exact steps we will be taking.

The doctors are fairly certain (even without the biopsy) that it is Rhabdomyosarcoma. His tumor is inside and outside of his bladder pushing on both his bladder and colon. He now has a catheter in and is going to remain in until they can shrink the tumor enough that it isn't painful for him to go to the bathroom.

Moving forward they plan on doing one treatment a week for about a year. For many years down the road we will have many of tests to continue with.

We have been blessed with great family and friends who have came along side us and have helped us through this storm in our lives. We know that with God as the master physician anything is possible. We just ask for continued prayers as we go through this journey.
