Support for Ukraine Extraction Team

Donation protected
We are a small team of 5 guys who left our lives, jobs, and families to help the people of Ukraine. We’ve self-funded our way from America and Europe and have backgrounds in military, medicine, and urban survival. Our team specializes in the extraction and recovery of men, women, and children in contested areas. We are working towards being a key reactive team that takes families to safe areas when they are unable to leave their homes due to a variety of war-related hazards. We just need the equipment to do so.

While we have experience, we lack essential materials. We have equipment that we brought ourselves and that others have donated. We are making do, but at this time being, we are hard-pressed. We operate in cities without power, gas, or water, with very limited amounts of emergency response supplies. The volunteer force under which we serve is not able to provide all the necessary supplies, so we must source from other places. And in order for us to continue our mission, we need medical supplies, transportation, and generators. Due to international logistical issues, we are forced to find these necessities ourselves within Ukraine. For this reason, we are seeking monetary support.

I will end with a parting story of a family I met in Slovakia that was displaced from south-central Ukraine. I stayed in a hostel when I first landed in Slovakia, and a lovely mom took me in as her own. She is an English teacher full of heart and love. She was staying with her son who moved for his final years in high school as all of this has played out. She shared stories of the beautiful family trips, family dinners, and much of their home life back in Ukraine. Yet her husband, her adult son, and parents are still living in the midst of it all. Separated, but pulled and yearning to go back home, but can’t. Her husband and other son moved to find refuge with her parents as both without jobs or income, still hanging on to hope for their motherland, yet she still managed to take time and help me. Her son even paid for my taxi and refused to let me take it on.

The kind, resilient people of Ukraine deserve our very best. We will use whatever you can give to secure their safety and give them a fighting chance.
