Support For Travanti

Hi,

My name is Jennifer and I am Travantis mom. On July 4th, his and my entire family's lives changed. On his way to enjoy the fireworks with his family, he was struck by a SUV while riding his bike with his cousins. He was rushed to Mayo Clinic to receive life saving care. Since then, he has been surrounded by his closest family and friends while he continues to fight.

Travanti is one of the hardest working people I have ever known, and is always willing to lend a hand to those in need. His number one priority is and will always be his family, which he takes great pride in. He is high energy, enthusiastic, and the life of the party. It has been very quiet without his jokes, laughs and music. He finds joy in music, video games and basketball. Travanti finds life in the smallest of things, and is the happiest kid alive.

He currently is sedated in the intensive care unit, where he is receiving care for a brain bleed, several fractures around his eyes, liver lacerations, a broken scapula, as well as a broken clavicle. Travanti currently is unresponsive to commands, but has opened his eyes briefly as of now. He has moved his limbs, but more out of confusion and not on command. He is currently being monitored for the pressure in his brain, as well as being intubated and receiving a feeding tube.

I am a single mom of six, working as a newly graduated psych nurse. Due to the extent of my son's injuries, I have been by his side since he was brought to the ICU where he remains. Unfortunately, the bills have not stopped and I will be off work, unpaid until further notice. Due to me being a new nurse at a local hospital, I will not qualify for FMLA. Because of that, things such as his medical bills, our homes morgage and food for his siblings will need assistance.

Please help me and my family support my son when he needs us most. I welcome any and all prayers to help Travanti fight. He is one of the strongest kids I know, and he will prosper.
