My name is Sanjay Shah, and I am reaching out with a humble request to support the Shahi's family during an unimaginably difficult time. I am raising funds to help them rebuild their home, access urgent medical care, and support the education and basic needs of four young daughters who have lost their father and are now facing life without stability or support.

Dipak Shahi, a dedicated father and husband from Jajarkot, Nepal, had moved to India in search of work to provide a better future for his family. Tragically, on 03 November 2023 the Earthquake happened in Jajarkot, his family home was severely damaged rendering it unsafe and uninhabitable.

Upon hearing of the disaster, Dipak returned to Nepal to take care of his family. While traveling with his wife on a motorbike, they met with a serious accident. His wife survived but suffered a traumatic brain injury that led to memory loss and permanent disability, leaving her dependent on a wheelchair.

The emotional and financial burden became too much for Dipak, and heartbreakingly, he took his own life. He leaves behind his wife and four daughters, with no stable source of income, no safe place to live, and no government support, as their damaged home is not currently listed in the official earthquake relief and refurbishment program.

This cause is close to my heart because no family should be left to suffer alone after such a series of devastating events. These daughters deserve a chance at education, health, and a safe roof over their heads.
