Support for the Bryans

Donation protected

The Bryan family suffered a devastating loss this week. On Wednesday, May 5th, Steve had a heart attack and passed away unexpectedly in their home. Steve was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, son in law and friend. He will be dearly missed.

The Bryan family has brought so much joy to those around them, and served so many in their place of need. We now have the opportunity to love on this family, come alongside them and support Janai and Kynnadi in some very practical ways as they begin to grieve this incredible loss.  The money that is raised through this fundraiser will primarily go towards bereavement expenses. For those interested in contributing towards Kynnadi's education, Janai has set up a separate education fund that she will share more details about in the days to come.

Steve was a well-respected therapist in both the Austin Christian and Somatic Experiencing communities. In his work as a therapist, Steve touched countless lives and impacted generations by supporting people in their journey of growth and healing which allowed them to draw closer to the Lord, and closer to one another. His clients, colleagues, and friends will deeply miss Steve’s supportive presence, his smile, his laugh, and his genuine care for everyone around him.

As much as Steve enjoyed his role as a therapist and was passionate about his work helping others, his most treasured role and priority were that of a husband to Janai and father to his daughter, Kynnadi. Steve valued time with them above all else, and his face lit up with joy and delight every time he talked about them. Steve was so proud of his wife, Janai and daughter, Kynnadi, and loved to share about their interests and life as a family. In addition, he loved to talk about Janai's work as a therapist, the joy they found in collaborating together to offer support to the community, and the passion they shared for training other therapists. He equally delighted in telling people about Kynnadi's acting, singing, dancing and horseback riding, and in sharing pictures of them together at Kynnadi's recitals, competitions, and on family vacations. His family was his whole world!

Please join us in extending love and care to Janai and Kynnadi and their extended family as they celebrate Steve’s life and his place in heaven, but begin to grieve their loss in his death. One of the ways we can support them is by helping to alleviate some of their financial burden in the weeks and months to come. If you would like to support them in this way, we have created a GoFundMe page as a way to collect donations that can easily be given online. 100% of the funds collected here will go directly to Janai and Kynnadi to help with their ongoing expenses. In addition, there is a meal train where you can sign up to provide meals for the family. We are also looking at providing house keeping service, lawn care and possibly some maintenance work for the family in the next few months to come. Your prayers and words of encouragement are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your love and care for the Bryan family at this tender time of unimaginable loss. We have peace in the assurance of our faith that Steve is with Jesus in Heaven and God has called him home.
