Support for Ted Allen's Family

In January 2022, after a persistent cough pushed Ted to meet with his doctor, he received a call that no one is ever prepared to get: our Ted had been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. This news came a mere 24 hours after Liane and Ted learned that they were pregnant with their second baby boy.

Over the next 19 months, Ted endured over 30 rounds of chemotherapy and radiation sessions which weakened his body but never his will to continue to fight and support his family. As Ted struggled through the difficulties of his battle against cancer, he always found pleasure in watching his two boys, Jack and David, play around the house, even if he wasn’t always well enough to join them. Ted faced his challenges and treatments with incredible grace and strength. The smile on his face would never tell you the type of difficulties he was enduring. He was our Superman.

As Ted’s body grew weaker and the medical bills piled high, the complications from his treatments began to compound. Despite his courage and love for his family, the cancer would no longer allow him to fight. On August 3, 2023, we lost our husband, father, son, brother, and cherished friend.

Although surrounded by love and support, the road ahead is a challenging one for Liane, Jack, and David Allen. Please consider a contribution to help give Jack and David the life that Ted had dreamed of for them.
