Hello, we are Betsi Pendry and Antonio David Lyons, long time friends and colleagues of Daniel "Stompie" Selibe.
Dear Beloved Community,
Daniel “Stompie” Selebie has spent his entire career creating space and opportunities for individuals and communities across identities to heal and grow. As an artist and musician, he has worked for years on world stages and in communities supporting communities and bringing joy to people as they express themselves creatively and collaboratively as they build with the past to create the future.
Now Bra Stompie needs our support!
Just 2 months ago his world and those of his boys was changed forever. His partner Seneo Legodi was murdered by her former boyfriend in front of her two sons, ages 9 &16. The void that her absence has left in their lives is indescribable.
As Stompie and the boys begin to pick up the pieces they need our support! Crafting a new normal after such a traumatic experience is never easy. However, Stompie is determined to create a loving, supportive and full life for these boys that minimizes the trauma of losing their mother and is reflective of the future she envisioned for them. This is where we come in!
The family is in need of $50,000 that will cover the educational, therapeutic, medical and recreational needs of the boys. It will also help give Stompie the space to create a path towards sustaining a household that is now supported by one instead of two. No donation is too big or small. And if you can’t give monetarily, your positive thoughts and prayers will suffice.
