Support for Small Business Owners

This fund-raiser will be supporting local small owned businesses in and around the Fairmont/Morgantown and surrounding areas who are being deeply impacted by the recent closure of their small owned business due to the COVID-19 Outbreak. 100% of your contribution (minus standard Go Fund Me fees) will be directly dispensed to each local business owner who will be randomly chosen.   I know there are many of us out there who feel helpless right now. We have friends and family members who are struggling right now in many ways . We struggle with not knowing how to help or what to do. I have the same struggles but I have decided that doing something, starting somewhere is better than doing nothing. I would like to offer an easy solution for those of us out there who are fortunate enough to still be able to work during this crisis, to be able to assist those owners of the small businesses in our area and surrounding areas who have been forced to close their doors for an unknown period of time .  My goal is to raise $500 a week per busines . If we raise $500 we will support 1 business owner that week, if we raise $1,000 in a single week we will support 2 business owners and so on. Recipients will be chosen randomly by identifying small businesses who are deeply impacted by the state closings and whom could benefit from this fundraiser in order to support their families in the Fairmont, WV and surrounding areas.  Recipients will be selected randomly each week and the number of recipients will be determined based on the amount of funds collected that week .  100% of your contribution (minus standard Go Fund Me fees) will be directly dispensed to each local business owner chosen.   We will continue to support as many businesses as we can for as long as you are willing to donate.  We will provide updates each week on the recipients, their businesses and the impact from this donation.
