Support for SIFFY mentor travel

Since 2012 we have been sending and underwriting transportation costs for volunteer mentors to the Skopelos International Film Festival for Youth (SIFFY). This year we are sending 4 new volunteers and two from previous years will return. The 2017 SIFFY has over 100 young people from the island enrolled - ages 13 to 18. We want to raise funds to underwrite the New York - Athens - New York travel for two of the volunteer mentors.  We tried to send a 5th very qualified videographer from Bethlehem in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. Despite an invitation from the director of the Skopelos Foundation for the Arts , a letter from the Mayor of Skopelos and solid financial support, the Greek government denied his visa. However, he immediately volunteered to make a film on the theme of this year's SIFFY with young people from Palestine and make it part of the SIFFY festival. So we would very much like to support his effort. The festival starts in a few days. So please donate as quickly and as generously as you can. This appeal is going out to our many friends who have visited Skopelos and who know the beauty of the island and the importance of this project for the young people of Skopelos. We are really looking for donations of $100 + in the next week.  Your help will be appreciated by a lot of people.
