Hi everyone,

My name is Susan Forrester, and while I currently reside in the United States, my heart remains with my family back home in Jamaica. I’m reaching out to ask for your support for my loved ones who were deeply affected by the recent passing of Hurricane Melissa, especially my son, Ricardo Lewis, and my grandfather, Grandpa Malcolm, who is blind and whose home was completely destroyed by the storm (both in Westmoreland).

The storm caused severe damage in their community, leaving many of them without homes. Some are now staying with relatives and friends, trying to make the best of a very difficult situation.

Many of the children have lost their school supplies and uniforms, and the families are struggling to find food and basic necessities. Every little bit helps right now, whether it’s a small donation, sharing this post, or simply keeping them in your thoughts and prayers.

We’re doing our best to pool together whatever we can to help them rebuild and get back on their feet. The funds raised here would go towards purchasing material for rebuilding and fixing damages to the homes. Your contribution would mean so much to me and to everyone affected. ❤️
