Support for our brother Samuel Johns
Donation protected
Our brother Samuel Johns has helped so many in our community, and now he could use our support. As a community that has been touched by his work and advocacy, please consider a donation to support him as he has helped so many of us.
All funds will go toward purchasing a good used car (and the necessary insurance) and costs to move to his own apartment (including deposit, and first/last month's rent) so he can continue taking care of his daughters and doing his good work.
Over the last several years, he has helped dozens of our family and community members find their way back to their home communities, advocated for the rights of Indigenous peoples, the protection of our lands, shared the urgency of action in the face of climate change, and given voice to the hurts we've experienced on our own homelands.
He has done this work through deeply personal sharing and at great emotional, spiritual - and at times physical - cost, all without expectation of recognition or financial reward.
Knowing the needs of our community are great, he has a hard time asking for help for himself, which is where we come in.
Please share with others that would appreciate the opportunity to support Sam as he has helped so many of us. Any contribution helps, quyanaq for you consideration!
