Support for Nik Schroeder’s Family Through His Cancer Battle

Hello, my name is Amy Rosalyn. Today, I’m reaching out for support for a dear friend, Nik Jade Schroeder, his wife Caitlin Willcox-Schroeder, and their 18-month-old daughter Amaryllis. This past Christmas, what started as a presumed ear infection for Nik led to a horrible discovery: A rapidly growing tumor near his ear. After many specialist visits and testing, Nik was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma.

Nik, a kind and helpful individual known for his willingness to lend a hand, faces a tough journey ahead and has already been on a rocky road. Currently undergoing monthly immunotherapy to shrink the tumor before surgery, Nik’s treatment involves weekly specialist visits among other medical needs, creating a significant financial strain. The situation is particularly challenging given Nik's role as a stay-at-home dad, a role he can no longer fulfill in the same capacity, adding emotional stress to an already overwhelming situation.

The road ahead for Nik and his family is daunting, not just medically but financially. With Nik unable to provide the care he once could for Amaryllis and faced with the costs of treatment and everyday expenses, the family is navigating through an incredibly tough period. They need our support more than ever.
