Friends and Neighbors,
It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic news of the passing of our beloved doorman, Jason Negron.
On May 15th at about 6 p.m. on 109th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, a speeding vehicle jumped the curb and struck a group of pedestrians. Jason and a friend tragically lost their lives in the accident, while three others remain hospitalized. Below is a link with some of the details of this tragic incident.
Jason is survived by his wife, Jackie, and their two daughters.
We will share information regarding funeral arrangements as soon as we receive further details from the family.
Jason had been a dedicated member of the 545 community since the building opened on October 20, 2006. For nearly twenty years, he served our residents with unwavering dedication, kindness, warmth, and a wonderful sense of humor. More than a doorman, Jason was a friend to so many and an important part of our building family. He was also an important part of our community - he lived just a few blocks from the building where he worked and was a beloved member of his local community.
As we all try to process this heartbreaking loss, we ask that you keep Jason’s family, friends, and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
All funds raised here will go to support Jason's family.
