On October 31st while participating in Trunks of Treats with his youth group, Jacob Stevens was critically injured from a freak accident.  After being hit in the chest with a pumpkin, his heart stopped and his lungs were injured from stomach acid.  One of his youth leaders performed CPR while they waited on the ambulance to arrive.  Jacob is currently breathing on his own, but has not regained consciousness since the time of the accident.  At this time it is unknown how long his brain went without oxygen and what the repercussions may be, as he remains in critical condition in CCU.

Jacob is a fun 16 year old who loves his friends and is passionate about music and playing guitar.  He loves to write and is known for poetry.  His friends call him a comedian and just an all around good kid, who loves God.  

On top of the medical expenses, his parents and brother have the additional expenses of eating away from home and missing work to be by their young son and brother's side.
