Support for Cassidy Slingsby's Leukemia diagnosis

On Thursday November 8th, Cassidy's parents took her to the Emergency at VGH because she was feeling lightheaded and looking pale. After the doctors ran blood work and imaging, she was immediately airlifted to BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver, and admitted to the Oncology ward, where she was quickly diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia.

She is just beginning a 28 day cycle of aggressive treatment, to start.

Both Cassidy's parents are with her, away from their careers and their home in Victoria for the indefinite future.

Naturally no one can prepare for this kind of devastating life change that has happened to our dear friends overnight. The shock and sadness everyone is feeling is immense.
