Support for Armando and Angela Cerda & Family
On Sunday, October 19th, our dear friend Armando Cerda was involved in a serious work accident in Kern County. While on the job, he was on a foot pursuit and was struck by a vehicle, resulting in severe injuries including fractures to his knee and shoulder. Since then, Armando has undergone three surgeries and remains hospitalized as he begins what will be a long and challenging road to recovery.
His amazing wife, Angela, has been traveling from Selma to Bakersfield most days to be by his side while also caring for their four children back home.
Angela is currently between jobs, making this time even more difficult for their family. Because Armando is self-employed, he does not qualify for disability or workers’ compensation benefits — leaving them without a steady source of income as medical bills, travel expenses, and daily living costs continue to add up.
Despite everything, Angela and Armando have remained strong, grateful, and full of faith. The love and support they’ve received from friends, family, and coworkers mean the world to them.
