Support for Aric's daughters

Aric's story is not a warm and fuzzy one, but it is an amazing and meaningful one. Aric was a father to 3 beautiful girls. Aric disappeared about 5 years ago. The family put out a Missing Person's page that ultimately lead to us finding his whereabouts. Aric was living homeless in Houston, Texas. Aric was a known drug user, and we knew his addiction was what caused his disappearance in the first place. Aric's Dad went to search for him in Texas and found him due to the tips we received from his Missing Persons page. Aric did not want to come home, he truly felt he was helping other homeless people by being there. He had built a shelter under a bridge and anyone that was new on the streets would come to him for help with food, clothing, or shelter. My Dad understood Aric's reasons for staying and left him there to continue his work. Months later, Aric called us and wanted to come home. He had a severe heart condition due to the drugs he had been using. We got to spend 4 really great months with Aric, and his girls got to reconnect with him but his addiction ultimately won. Aric passed away from complications with drug use and his poor heart condition. Aric did not wake up one day and want to be an addict, and Aric's girls did not ask to be daughters of an addict. His death leaves all of us, especially his girls with so many questions. Addiction is a terrible beast that tears apart many families. Any money donated will go directly to Aric's girls to help them with any financial needs in their future. Thank you for donating and supporting Aric's girls.
