Support Food Not Bombs in 2020!
How can anyone justify the arms trade and war when countless people are going hungry in our streets? A shocking 4 million people are living in poverty in the UK, while cuts to public services continue to deepen.
In the face of this injustice, North London Food Not Bombs takes direct action by gathering food that would otherwise be wasted, cooking it and serving it for free in public to anyone who's hungry. While the government prioritises profit over people, we believe that mutual aid and care are radical acts.
We've been sharing free veggie food, clothes, hygiene products for just over 5 years now. We've shared over 8,000 meals, including strikes, protests and meetings. We've shown how care is powerful in sustaining communities and movements. 
We're now fundraising to continue organising! We are all volunteers and any funds we raise will go directly into our food shares and to make our work more sustainable and accessible.
Our regular running costs include:
- basic food staples: oil, spices, herbs, coffee, tea, sugar, milk
- travel costs: we try to reimburse volunteers where requested to make our work more accessible
- printing: for flyers, posters
- art supplies: for banners and other materials
- cooking equipment: pots, pans, knives, chopping boards
- equipment for our stalls: plates, cutlery, cups, tables
- first aid kits: these are about 8GBP each
- care packages: incl plasters, nail clippers, socks, deodorant, toothbrush/paste, waterproof poncho, gloves,sanitary pads, antiseptic, etc (these are about 15GBP each to assemble)
