Support Esquire Club Staff in Crisis

The Esquire Club, Madison's original supper club opened in 1947, was abruptly closed by the new ownership that took over last May.

We, the staff, have worked to get our people together and raise money to offset the over $80,000 of staff payroll that will not be honored.

Most of us are now without pay and face real near-time challenges such as making rent payments and providing for families. We are asking your assistance to help offset the losses to pay, and maybe even pay back money owed to staff who fronted money to the business and never saw it come back.

We have contacted the Kavanaugh Family and hope they are able to return the business to form.

Unfortunately for many of the staff, that will be too long coming with no income.

Please help us assist the staff in recouping their lost income and stolen tips so they may continue to be housed until transitions to new jobs are secured.

Thank you so much and please share.
