On June 7, 2025, the Figlio/De Asis/Layson family suffered a profound loss. Our beloved Erlinda Figlio passed away in Oxnard, California, due to pneumonia, which was exacerbated by her Alzheimer’s and dementia. Her passing has left an indelible mark on the family and friends across the United States, the Philippines, and Japan. Erlinda found solace in her own home when she stopped breathing.

Her unexpected passing has left her family grappling with grief while also grappling with the financial burden that accompanies such a tremendous loss.

Some of you have inquired about how you can assist Erlinda’s immediate family, which includes her daughters Emily, Julie, and Joy, her sons Angelo, Danny, and Tony, along with all 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. While we cannot alleviate the pain we are experiencing, these funds will help alleviate the challenges that arise from such tragedy.

These funds will be utilized directly to support Erlinda’s funeral expenses and assist her immediate family. They will be used immediately to cover any costs associated with the funeral services, their home expenses, food, counseling for the family, and future expenses related to their transition through the next several months.
