Dr. Sue Tarr has been a guiding light in the lives of so many, including mine. As my former professor and a dear friend, Sue has always gone above and beyond to support her students and colleagues. She has dedicated her career to teaching and inspiring future and current teachers, specializing in health education, physical education, and adapted physical education. Her passion for education and her commitment to making a difference have earned her several awards and the respect of everyone who knows her. Sue has served as a professor and department chair at multiple universities, touching countless lives along the way.


Recently, Sue was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease), a life-changing diagnosis that has brought unexpected challenges. The costs of medical care and the need for ongoing home support have placed a significant financial burden on Sue and her wife, Susie. To make matters even more difficult, Susie has had to step away from work to care for Sue, adding to the strain.
