Support Darin's Battle Against ITP

Hi, my name is Brittany, and I am raising funds to help support the father of our 2 kids.

Darin was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes a few years back, and has been managing it the best he can. Over the past several months, however, he's been in and out of the hospital with dangerously low platele counts, and we haven't been able to figure out why. On June 2nd, he drove himself to the ER because of a migraine that just wouldn't go away, and had started to affect his vision. The results of a CT scan determined there was a bleed on the surface of his brain, and again, his platelets were in the negatives.

Darin has be diagnosed with ITP . It is a chronic immune disorder where his body will continue to attack his platelets. His care team is working on a treatment plan, and we are praying this is something that we can keep under control.

The next steps are where we need your help. Darin has been out of work since the end of March. He was supposed to start his new job the day after he was admitted to the hospital. However, moving forward, he won't be able to do any manual labor, and until his vision issues are addressed, he won't be able to drive.

We are asking for help to get Darin through the next few months. He's drowning in medical bills and while we are applying for disability and medicaid, he is going to need help in the interim, because for now, he can't work.
