CHORUS VIRTUAL GRAND CAFÉ – 17 JUNE 2021

Support a good cause

CHORUS.community events are focused on sharing information and providing guidance on how to use research and social engineering skills for good. We aim to assist and support our future generations in critical thinking processes and the proper interpretation of (dis)information.

The CHORUS Foundation is humbled to organize this event with help of its community sponsors and offers attendance to its events free of charge. Should you wish to financially support the causes today’s speakers are advocating, being the ILF and Lie-Detectors. Your contributions will be warmly welcomed and highly appreciated.

CHORUS.community is pleased to announce its first virtual Grand Café, to take place on 17 June 2021.

The Café will cover two of our favorite themes: Counter Social Engineering & Disinformation Techniques, with contributions from international experts Christopher Hadnagy, founder of Social-Engineer.org and Juliane von Reppert-Bismarck, founder of Lie-Detectors.org.

On June 17th our speakers will be shedding light on how social engineering in information security can contribute to keeping us safe from internationally active criminal networks, and they will additionally address the society-disrupting social engineering strategies that we continually face, especially our younger generations.

We are thrilled to have Chris and Juliane come share their experiences with us and are looking forward to lively discussions on efforts made countering evil, manipulative predators, and disinformation campaigns.

Program:

19.30 CET – Opening, Housekeeping, Introductions

19.45 CET – Chris Hadnagy on how to use the social engineering skill for good, on his latest book Human Hacking, and on his collaboration with the Innocent Lives Foundation, which helps track and capture predators who traffic and exploit children.

20.15 CET - Juliane von Reppert-Bismarck on the non-profit, journalism-led platform Lie Detectors that aims to help teenagers and pre-teens tell news facts from news fakes, while navigating the shades of bias in between.

20.45 CET – Q&A, moderated discussions

21.15. CET – Closing remarks

Our gratitude goes out to Gwenda Nielen, who will be moderating the event, alongside the organizing and hosting CHORUS.community team.
