The Centre for Media Monitoring (CfMM) holds the British media to account on its reporting of Islam and Muslims. We advocate for fairer, accurate and more responsible coverage by engaging with editors, journalists, regulators and policy makers.

We monitor the media daily, submit complaints and have secured 100’s of corrections of misleading or inaccurate headlines, images and content. We produce ground-breaking reports such as our latest analysis of the media’s coverage of 7th October and the ongoing response.

We deliver media training workshop to Muslim community organisations across the UK on how to conduct media interviews, pitch stories and help change the current negative narrative. If your organisation comes under the media’s spotlight negatively, we are there to help you navigate your response.

Now more than ever, CfMM’s work is important to Muslim communities in the UK and beyond. The ongoing crisis since 7th October, the rise of Islamophobia and the use of the media by politicians and commentators to fuel hate and division highlights the need for CfMM to ensure that the media is not used as a platform to attack Islam and Muslims.
