Support Casie's Heart Surgery Recovery

Hello family and friends,

It is with her permission that I share this story.

On the morning of July 16, our dear friend Casie Dawson nearly lost her life after suffering a ruptured main valve in her heart. Thankfully, the ER team at Mat-Su Hospital recognized the severity of Casie's situation and urgently life flighted her to Alaska Regional Medical Center where she underwent emergent open-heart surgery. The Alaska Regional team was able to successfully replace the valve in her heart, but subsequently Casie has had a long and arduous recovery in the ICU.

Although Casie is improving everyday, the road to recovery is long, daunting, and unknown. We are reaching out during this difficult time to help alleviate the overwhelming medical costs of emergent flight services, open heart surgery, and her extensive treatment and time in the ICU. Any donations will be used for this so she can focus solely on her healing and recovery.

We would also like to take this time to thank everyone for the outpouring of messages, calls, and ongoing support this week. We were sure to pass each and every one on to our girl. They have been an integral part of her healing journey, she is truly feeling all the love❤️.
