Our friend Caryn Clough is the kind of person who greets you with a smile and always has a story or joke to share. She’s a 12-year Navy veteran and a long-time San Francisco resident, beloved by her community of friends, coworkers, and customers for her warmth and humor. Now, Caryn needs our help.

What Is Going On

Caryn began experiencing a dull pain that quickly became unbearable, forcing her to stop working and rely on a cane. After a week in the hospital and months of tests, she still has no diagnosis and is unable to work. The financial burden of medical bills and everyday expenses has become overwhelming. Without paid leave or a corporate safety net, and with the VA not covering everything, Caryn is facing this challenge without the resources she needs.
