Bringing Accessible, High-Quality Learning to Public Access TV
Children from lower-income families face significant educational gaps, and educational public access television helps bridge that divide. However, funding for this kind of programming is extremely limited. That’s why we’re developing a free, educational children’s show called "Broomsticks & Bats", designed to be engaging, enriching, and low-stimulation.
What "Broomsticks & Bats" will offer:
- Educational & Emotional Learning: Our show will blend both educational and emotional lessons, equipping children with the all the right tools they need for success.
- Low-Stimulation Design: Fast-paced shows can negatively affect attention spans. Our show will feature calm pacing, soft transitions, and gentle storytelling to provide a mindful alternative.
- Opportunities for Student Creators: This project will also train future media professionals by offering hands-on experience in writing, animation, and production.
- A Cozy, Magical World: Follow Esti and Stevie, two siblings running a potion shop in a peaceful bayou, as they embark on adventures that teach valuable life lessons.
