Hey Everybody! Reaching out to ask for some help… Some may already know but for the friends and family that don’t, my brother Brandon was diagnosed with Pleomorphic Sarcoma Cancer in January. He originally wanted to keep this news to himself and wasn’t open to reaching out for any help. Cancer doesn’t care about feelings. This is a type of rare cancer that usually begins in limbs and tends to move quickly and aggressively. His cancer at that time was located in his upper right thigh. Unfortunately, Brandon already has spots on his lungs. When he was diagnosed in January he had a baseball size mass but due to the type of cancer and its uncertainty after 5 weeks of radiation 5 times a week, the mass is now the size of a soft ball. Even with that tumor growing the new treatment plan has switched to focus on the lung cancer.
He’s currently being treated in Lebanon, NH which is roughly two hours away from his house. These appointments take up most of the day and will be at least every 3 weeks with additional scan days added in as the treatments go along. His leg will need surgery but for now his lungs are the main focus. They have started other avenues of treatment to try to help the spots on his lungs. He had a port put in and began chemotherapy July 3rd. The five year survival rate for Pleomorphic Sarcoma is roughly 60%. He can’t drive nor work due to the significant amount of pain he is in. Brandon is depending on Melissa to be a full time caregiver to not only him but little Brandon as well.
My brother just turned 46 years old on June 29th. He has two children, Merecedes 24 and little Brandon who is 8 years old. Brandon also has a grandson Braxton, and he is only 4. He’s supposed to have a lifetime to live and enjoy with them. Please consider donating to help Brandon and his family through the fight of his life. Donations will be used to help with the household bills, gas, tolls, medical expenses and maybe the little extras for the kids ect. The hope is with all the medical unknowns that financial issues won’t be on the list of worries.
Thank you for helping me and my family in trying to keep my brother’s life the best it can be long into the future.
