Support Bogdan's Journey to Independence

My name is Natasha, a mother of 2 wonderful sons. My younger son Bogdan is 6 years old he is a very kind and sweet boy. Bogdan was recently diagnosed with autism. Like any parent, hearing this diagnosis is heart breaking. At first, I felt disappointed because the doctors found out too late that my son Bogdan had hearing issues and then a stomach problem which delayed any positive progress. The only thing a mother can do in my situation is accept it and fight for my son. I have been fighting for the past 3 years now can not discribe how difficult our situation is. Unfortunately, this is the only way I can get the necessary services for Bogdan. This is a constant struggle, with endless waiting lists and a fight for every service. He is not able to take care of himself like other children of his age. He is an intelligent child deserving the chance to be more independent, to be able to feed and dress himself, play with other children and use his voice to communicate and express his needs. At this moment, my family and I are unable to pay for the neccessary therapies that will help him thrive. After being diagnosed with autism, medical professionals concluded that they can help him through therapies and we as his family are confident that he will reach necessary level of progress the sooner he starts with therapy.
