Support Black trans man with corrective topsurgery

Donation protected
Kalil is a Berlin-based dancer, who is a trans man and is looking for our support with a corrective mastectomy this December. Let us back him up as a community and provide the support that is needed for this moment and the recovery that will follow.

Earlier this year, Kalil had a mastectomy. A moment that he waited for for so long. Unfortunately due to complications and infections, Kalil will have to undergo a corrective mastectomy this December.

Due to the strict bureaucracy and rules surrounding transitions in Germany, Kalil had to pay both the first operation and this one out of his own pocket (luckily with some support of his inner circle).

As a dancer, Kalil uses his body to express himself. And to have this second operation, is a huge step to cultivating his art & joy as a dancer and human being.

The funds you donate will support Kalil in:

(Part of) Kalil's corrective mastectomy, medicines and intake meetings with medical professionals. As well has a phase of recovery, where Kalil will not be able to dance or work other jobs.

The Black Trans Art & Joy Fund is a private initiative by Naïmah Janse, Sharona Lautoe and Xiomara Virdó that centers community care for Black Trans people. We do this by organizing crowdfunding initiatives, as well as sharing and connecting networks, and offering practical support to provide the community with space to create, share their art, and above all: experience joy.
