Over the past year and a half, our sweet niece, Ayla has been going through an extremely difficult time with her epilepsy. Her seizures have been difficult to control, resulting in numerous hospital visits, therapies, specialist visits, and yet her life continues to be negatively impacted. She has not been able to attend school this year, as she needs round-the-clock care which ultimately has taken a toll on the family. Being Ayla’s primary caretaker, Venesa has taken an extended leave of absence from work, which also brings with it much financial and emotional uncertainty for the future. After extensive research and with the help of one of Ayla’s doctors, Domenic and Venesa have found a doctor who can offer an alternative treatment to help with Ayla’s healing journey. This does not come without a hefty cost, however, and is not covered by insurance. Thankfully, Ayla has made great improvements thanks to her diverse team of doctors, however this alternative therapy is much needed to get her back to living a normal life. We are on a mission to restore Ayla’s health so she can go back to school, play with friends, and love life again. Thank you for all your help and support!
