Support Ava Murray’s lung transplant journey
Donation protected
Ava, who is 2 and a half years old and twin of Aiden, and little sister of Lucy and Leigh-Anna, has an extremely rare genetic disease, surfactant C deficiency, and requires a double lung transplant. Ava requires oxygen 24/7 and without a transplant her prognosis is 2-3 years. Ava will be added to the transplant waiting list on Monday 7/2/22. A transplant is not a cure but will extend her life by 5-10 years, allowing her to live a normal life without oxygen.
When mum and dad, Tamara and Robert receive the call, Tamara will have to travel with Ava to Newcastle for the operation, and stay there for between 4-6 months. Robert will have to take a break from work to stay at home with the other children. This is going to have a huge impact on the family, emotionally and financially.
I am creating this gofundme page to try and alleviate the financial burden on the family. This funding will help to pay for living costs, and travel costs for the family to visit Ava whilst she is in Newcastle with Tamara.
As a family we are so grateful for the help and support we have received over the last few years. Many thanks for your continued care and support.
