Only weeks before her precious boys' 1st and 4th birthdays, Ashley and her family received a young family's worst nightmare: Ashley was diagnosed with metastatic colorectal cancer.
This was completely out of the blue and was a heartbreaking blow to all who know her. She is known by friends and families as the most devoted, selfless, genuine, and caring person one could ever know.
She is now most of the way through her first 8 rounds of very aggressive chemotherapy. There are certainly days of discomfort and fatigue. Despite these, she and her steadfast husband are dedicated to maintaining their usual loving, energetic household. Her strength is unparalleled, grounded in faith.
Next plans may include surgery, more chemo, radiation, or other. She hopes to maintain as much of a "normal" day-to-day life for her sweet boys each step of the way. She is bracing for the next steps and serves as an inspiration to all of us.
