Thank you all for continuing to support Arlo and our family. We wanted to share an update from today’s appointment so everyone has the same information.

The biopsy results show that Arlo has a high-grade, fast-growing brain tumor. The cancer cells have several genetic changes that make them more aggressive — the doctors found three specific mutations that explain why it has been growing so quickly.

Even though this sounds overwhelming, the good news is that these results give the medical team more clarity and more direction. Knowing the exact mutations helps them choose the strongest and most targeted treatment plan for Arlo.

The doctors are still running a few additional tests to fully classify the tumor, which will guide the final treatment decisions. They are moving quickly and working closely with specialists who are experienced in this type of pediatric brain cancer.
