My name is Hope, and Antonio is my son. I created this fundraiser because our family is fighting for something that could completely change his life: a kidney transplant.

Antonio is living with kidney failure and has been through more than I ever imagined watching my son endure. There have been hospital stays, procedures, dialysis, complications, setbacks, and many uncertain days. Through all of it, he continues to fight.

Right now, our focus is on getting Antonio to transplant and finding the kidney that could give him a chance at a healthier life.

But I have learned that finding the kidney is only one part of this journey.

We also have to be financially prepared for the day our breakthrough comes.

When Antonio receives the opportunity for a transplant, there will be expenses that come along with it. Travel, transportation, lodging, meals, time away from work, recovery expenses, follow-up appointments, and other unexpected costs can quickly add up. Because of his health, Antonio has also been unable to work, which has already created additional financial strain.

I don’t want us to finally receive the call we’ve been praying for and then have to worry about whether we are financially prepared to move forward.

That is why I am asking for help now.

Donations to this fundraiser will help us prepare for Antonio’s transplant and recovery while also assisting with expenses related to his care during this journey. My goal is to build a financial cushion so that when his opportunity comes, our focus can be where it belongs—on Antonio, his transplant, and getting him healthy.
