Please Help Support Anthony’s Road to Recovery
Anthony never imagined that feeling “a little off” could turn into a life-threatening medical emergency.
Unbeknownst to him, Anthony was suffering from walking pneumonia. The day before Thanksgiving, he was feeling a little off but thought it was just a cold. Thanksgiving morning he was rushed to the hospital.
At the hospital, doctors ran extensive tests but were initially unsure of the cause. Anthony’s condition rapidly worsened when it became clear he was battling a severe and critical form of pneumonia and was placed on a ventilator. As his lungs were no longer able to oxygenate his blood, Anthony was airlifted by trauma helicopter to another hospital where he was placed on an ECMO machine — a form of life support used only in the most serious cases.
At this point, Anthony was relying on two forms of life support. To give his lungs time to heal, he was placed in a medically induced coma, where he remained for six long weeks. During this time, multiple lifesaving procedures were performed.
Anthony is now beginning to regain consciousness, though he has no memory of the past six weeks. His fight is far from over. He will require extensive rehabilitation once released from the hospital, along with continued medical care and expenses.
Unfortunately, Anthony will be unable to work for the foreseeable future. He had not been at his job long enough to qualify for benefits, leaving him without income while facing mounting medical bills, mortgage payments, everyday living expenses, and the responsibility of caring for his three beloved dogs.
We are asking for any support you may be able to offer to help ease the financial burden and allow Anthony to focus on what matters most — healing and recovery. Any donation, share, or kind word means more than we can express.
Thank you for supporting Anthony during this incredibly difficult journey.
