My name is Christie Madden. I am raising funds for my brother, Andy Ohler. As most of you know, he is the kindest, nicest guy. He will do anything for his family and friends.

At the end of July this year, he developed what he thought was a cyst on his jawline. He was treated several times with antibiotics until finally, he was in so much pain he went to the emergency room. There, they did a CT scan and told him that it was not a cyst or a boil but a mass. He was transferred to The James at OSU a week and a half ago, and all of our lives turned upside down.

At The James, tests and biopsies were done, and we heard the word no one ever wants to hear: CANCER! He was diagnosed on 9-23-24 with Invasive Squamous Cell Carcinoma with Keratinizing. He is scheduled to have surgery on Monday, September 30th. He will have the tumor removed and a skin graft taken off his leg. He has to travel back and forth from Columbus for appointments, surgery, and treatments.

He will be off work indefinitely with no pay. It could take a year to recover. More time will be needed if he needs more surgeries.
