Support Andrea and Kori's Student Film Dream

Please donate to fund our student film, Ordinary, which is a dramedy about a young girl who is rejected at a college frat party and has to face her insecurities before losing her best friends.

Who are we?

We are Andrea Henriquez and Kori Griffin, two aspiring filmmakers who are attending California State University, Fullerton. This will be our first film production and we are looking forward to building our experience and applying everything we have learned so far to our personal project.

Our Story

Charlotte is a freshman in college who is spending most of her time scrolling through her crush’s social media, stalking and comparing herself to all of the other girls in his comment sections. Before heading out to a Halloween party at her crush’s frat, her two best friends try their best to boost her confidence and encourage her to ask him out. Once they arrive at the party, her attempt to ask out her crush is immediately shot down as he can’t seem to remember her name. He immediately asks her to set him up with her best friend, which leads to Charlotte developing animosity towards her bestie. She then decides to project her embarrassment onto her best friend, which leads to her crush taking even more interest in her best friend. In order to not lose her friendship, she must overcome her insecurities.

Why this story?

As two young girls in college, we have been through many situations in the past where our insecurities have gotten the best of us. With the skills we have been developing in our classes, we would like to take our personal experiences and turn them into something we can share and talk about. It is important for people to talk about what makes them feel insecure in order to grow and develop from it.
