Hola, mi nombre es Claudia y quiero compartir la historia de mi tío Aldo, quien está pasando por un momento de salud muy difícil y necesita de nuestra ayuda.

El 12 de julio, Aldo empezó a sentir un dolor muy fuerte en su pierna derecha. A pesar de eso, fue a trabajar, pero el malestar fue empeorando. Al llegar a casa se acostó, pero cuando despertó al día siguiente, su pierna estaba mucho peor, parecía que tenía un coágulo de sangre. Lo llevaron al hospital y ahí comenzaron a descubrir la gravedad de su situación.

Le diagnosticaron diabetes, una enfermedad que nunca había sabido que tenía, y que estaba causando una infección grave en su pierna. Además, encontraron que un tornillo que le habían colocado hace muchos años, tras una fractura en 1993, estaba quebrado, por lo que tuvo que someterse a una cirugía para retirarlo. Posteriormente, también le detectaron un problema en su riñón.

La operación fue complicada, pero gracias a Dios salió bien. Sin embargo, Aldo estuvo hospitalizado dos semanas, recibiendo tratamientos con antibióticos y cuidados intensivos, y aún necesita curaciones y visitas de control por el dolor… No se sabe cuándo podrá volver a su vida habitual.

Lo más difícil es que Aldo no tiene seguro médico, y todos los gastos de hospitalización, cirugía y medicamentos están siendo una carga muy grande para él y su familia.

Por eso, estamos pidiendo su apoyo para ayudar a cubrir sus cuentas médicas y su tratamiento de recuperación. Cualquier aporte, por pequeño que sea, será una gran ayuda y un alivio enorme que permitirá que Aldo pueda salir adelante.

Hi, my name is Claudia, and I’d like to share the story of my uncle Aldo, who is going through a very difficult health situation and needs our help.

On July 12th, Aldo started feeling severe pain in his right leg. Even though he wasn’t feeling well, he went to work, but the pain got worse. When he got home and went to bed, he woke up the next day with his leg in much worse condition — it looked like he had a blood clot. He was rushed to the hospital, where they began to uncover the seriousness of his condition.

Doctors diagnosed him with diabetes something he didn’t know he had which was causing a serious skin infection. They also discovered that a screw from a surgery he had back in 1993 had broken, and he needed surgery to remove it. Later, they also found a problem with his kidney.

The surgery was difficult, but thankfully it went well. Aldo spent two weeks in the hospital receiving antibiotics and intensive care. He is still in pain and requires ongoing wound care and follow-up visits, and it’s uncertain when he’ll be able to return to normal life.

What makes this even more challenging is that Aldo doesn’t have medical insurance, and the cost of hospitalization, surgery, medications, and recovery is a huge burden for him and the family.
