Support Adalynne's Journey to Health and Healing

Adalynne Zariah Brown was born on 7/18/25. She weighed 8 lbs 15 oz. Shortly after her arrival, she was taken from me and rushed to the NICU due to low oxygen levels. I knew something was off when she didn't cry. She spent a brutal five days in the NICU. I know it's shorter than most NICU babies and I should be thankful, but that was the hardest five days of my life, something I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy. She was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension and hypoglycemia. They finally released her on oxygen.

When Adalynne was born, I noticed that her head was oddly shaped. The right side of her forehead stuck out more than the left, her right eye is droopy, and her nose is a little crooked. I brushed it off, assuming it was due to the long labor or her being head down for so long. I brought it up to multiple people, including her pediatrician, and I was told it was just water retention, that it would go away with time. My mommy gut knew something was wrong.

I was right!
After seeing a post on Facebook of a baby healing from head surgery, I realized that the baby looked just like Adalynne. My heart dropped and I instantly hopped on Google. It felt like my heart literally broke in half thinking my baby girl was about to go through even more hell.

The next day, I called and scheduled two appointments to get her seen. From there, she was diagnosed with plagiocephaly, likely from being head down for so long, but we also needed to get a referral for a head CT. A week later, we got the CT and she was diagnosed with Left Unicoronal Craniosynostosis.

Craniosynostosis is when the sutures in the skull fuse too early, causing improper head and brain development/growth.
If left untreated, This can lead to elevated intracranial pressure, resulting in symptoms such as vision and cognitive problems, seizures, developmental delays, brain damage, blindness, sinus issues or in severe cases, even death.

We have a long road ahead of us with back-to-back appointments and the surgery to correct it.
There are two different surgical procedures that they could do. We are hoping for the endoscopic surgery as that is way less invasive than the full cranial reconstruction surgery. Either way, we are at risk of losing our house and family vehicle with the loss of wages, travel/hotel costs, back-to-back appointments, and just everyday expenses. If you know anything about me, you know that I never ask for help, especially financially. But given our current situation with our precious two-month-old, I have no choice but to ask. Please, help us get through this rough patch so my baby girl can get the surgery she needs and still have a place to come home to.
