I am reaching out to share a difficult situation I'm currently facing and to humbly ask for your support. It is more difficult than I can explain how hard it is for me to ask for help as I am usually the one supporting others. For the past two years, I have been experiencing significant challenges with my former employer after raising concerns and submitting a formal grievance as a whistleblower.

Since then, I have faced blocked promotions and raises, an increased workload, and ongoing harassment, which has unfortunately led to a decline in my health. Most recently, after undergoing my second heart surgery, my supervisor refused to allow me to use employee-donated PTO for cardiac rehab, stating that I could "make up my work later." She also stated that “employee donated PTO was only for people with critical illnesses who needed treatment.” This toxic and hostile environment left me with no choice but to leave my job. For the past several months, I have been paying off a large medical garnishment and have depleted my savings long ago.

Even after years of dedicated service to our community, I am still being harassed by my former employer and was not even allowed to say goodbye to my colleagues. Beyond my professional work, I've also dedicated countless hours volunteering in our community for multiple organizations. I have become a leader with Bozeman Tenants United, advocating for tenant rights for all. While I'm no stranger to standing up against abuse of power, this situation has unfortunately impacted my ability to maintain my livelihood and stay in our community.

I am hoping for your help to remain in my home as I navigate this challenging situation with my former employer. Any support you could offer would be deeply appreciated and would help me stay safe and well during this difficult time. It is important to me to continue to fight back against injustice to show my son that his mother left a legacy of fighting for what she believed in even when the cost was high.
