PROJECT SUMMARY
We do introduce to you Diep Ark Ministries International (D.A.M.I) a Voluntary grass root Non-Profit Organization located in Misoli village, Mayuge District the Eastern part of Uganda initiated with the plight to transforming vulnerable livelihoods into a better life.We are a voluntary community based organization without any reliable source of funding other than from our own pockets, friends, sympathizers and well-wishers.
The Covid-19 pandemic has caused school closures in Uganda and confirmed cases are increasing every other day! But our staff and volunteers are working around the clock to provide emergency food, Healthy facilities, clothes, menstrual reusable pads and other basic home needs so that the vulnerable families get back a smile and feel loved in all ways.
WHY ARE WE MORE EXPOSED TO THIS CRISIS?
In addition to poverty and living in poor conditions, the COVID-19 impact is raising the food costs. For many Ugandans who live hand to mouth, there is no food on the shelves, there is no income because business has been shut down and there is no welfare system to support the vulnerable populations! We need to act now because severe malnutrition and starvation is a real threat for the poor vulnerable families.
Challenge
D.A.M.I is used to provide most orphans and vulnerable children/families with home basic needs through its community based organization. We need to continue our charity support during lock down too and reach out to Orphan children, widows, single mothers and grandmothers who desperately need assistance in Mayuge, Eastern Uganda.
Through small donations from friends and previous volunteers, we are already reaching out to the most at-risk families providing them with food But Much Support Is Still Needed to allow us extend more support to these families as well as reach many more families in need at this time of uncertainty.
Solution
Your love and support will help Diep Ark Ministries International to address this urgent need, we are seeking voluntary donations to help in providing much-needed Food, Clothing’s, Menstrual Reusable Pads but also hygiene supplies. We could distribute these basic care packages to the vulnerable in Mayuge District, Eastern Uganda.
