Give a Mother and Daughter a Second Chance at Joy
Spende geschützt
Many of my friends and family know that I have struggled with my health for many of years. Being a traumatic brain injury survivor having three brain surgeries I have struggled a lot. I am on disability with a very low income. I've been saving several years to take my youngest daughter out of the country to share my wonderful experiences of Jamaica with her. Many of you know I'm also a low-income family. It took me several years to save money to be able to share this experience with my daughter. On Tuesday August the 5th we boarded the plane at O'Hare and landed safely in jamaica. As we landed immigration came on the plane violently pulled me off the plane with no explanation ripped me away from my daughter. Threw me into a holding cell and told me my passport was fraudulent. They wouldn't even allow me to speak to my daughter so that I could at least let her know how to get safely to the hotel. And now unfortunately according to Apple vacation and their insurance policy I am not entitled to any type of reimbursement. Even though I spent quite a bit of money on the insurance protection plan. I know there's other crises going out in the world and people need it more than I do. But this was devastating and traumatizing for me. I would love to be able to take my daughter on another vacation somewhere. I know this is a very selfish thing to ask but if you know me you know I'm the most selfless person in the world. I would give the shirt off my back. I have fed the homeless. I have taken in the homeless. And in the past 22 years my husband and I have raised 19 children in our home that wasn't ours. I really deserved this. If you can find it in your heart even if it's $5. I just want to be able to celebrate all of my daughter's accomplishments with her. Just like I did with my other children. Thank you in advance for your consideration and your kindness.
