Super Definitely Average Mom Holiday Project

Heyyy! It’s Sophia from Super Definitely Average Moms, and I thought Giving Tuesday was the perfect day to kick off my holiday passion project that my 6yo and I are tackling.

Imagine being a child and your entire world was a certain way- your friends, family, the books you read, the movies you saw, and the toys you played with.

While we’ve made big strides with representation- seeing Black dolls as you stroll Target shouldn’t be a delightful surprise. It should be the norm. We’re getting there!

This holiday season we'd would like to make sure that Black child feel worthy of their magic! All funds raised will go directly towards purchasing Black dolls for Black families, from Black Women owned businesses, like Healthy Roots.

An application will be shared in the Super Definitely Average Moms group and Instagram. I personally, also want to give back to those families who have give so much to ME in my parenting journey. Any additional dolls purchased will be donated locally (Phoenix, AZ) to UMOM New Day Center (umom.org).

I will use this platform, and social media to post receipts, photos, and updates so you can feel good about your money getting directly into the hands of families without admin costs or fees.

We can’t tell you how much we appreciate your support in this project- it deeply and personally means the world to us to be able to give a child the feeling of being seen.
